It was clean (place seems to be vacuumed twice a day).
It was clean (place seems to be vacuumed twice a day). There was privacy with the curtains (you get to wake up late without the sun shining in). There are charging ports behind the bed. Temperature in the room was just right. Shampoo and shower gel are provided.
Bed was a little hard (woke up with terrible pain a couple of times a night).

The bathroom facilities are in good condition.
The bathroom facilities are in good condition. There is a quite big lounge that has a very chilled athmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The beds are only separated by a curtain (to be fair you can se that in the photos). I unfortunately had someone snoring quite loudly next to me and the curtain doesn't do much to block out the noise. My bed was also quite unstable and wobbled a lot when i moved.

A great deal with better memories
It felt homely, the staff members were very kind and friendly, toilet and shower facilities were in good condition, WiFi was consistent, no key card meant ease of access and trust. REAL cheap!
Heater was turned up waaay too high at night, kitchen is very small but that seems to be consistent with Japanese hostels, there were a few more permanent Japanese residents staying there who didn't make an effort to interact, maybe a few tips and vouchers on trying stuff out for.

Cheap but can improve.
Cheap price and they don’t jump up on Saturday. Kitchenette, sufficient toilets, showers.
Strange mix of guests. Many food delivery workers, foreign long term stayers. Not really a backpacker’s vibe. Some facilities are clean and modern - toilets, showers. Others are makeshift or lacking. Workers mess up the dorm with their junk and noise - eat noodles in bed at night then fall asleep. Lacks attention to detail like tissues, cups, utensils. Hard to find in back alley. Not recognised payment system if using card. Only 1 bedsheet.
